Healthy Food and Healthy Minds, featuring 2025 TCC Grant Recipient Urban Roots

Since sprouting in 2009, Urban Roots has blossomed from a simple garden‑based teaching idea into a thriving Reno teaching farm alive with buzzing bees, curious students, playful animals, and hands‑on learning at every turn. Now firmly planted at their Urban Teaching Farm on E. Second Street, the organization continues to cultivate creativity, stewardship, and nutrition education throughout our community.
