Keeping the PUBLIC in Public Television
We know Public Television has faced steep cuts in federal funding. What many don't know is that the programs and services public television stations provide go far beyond children's programming, British murder mysteries, cooking shows, and This Old House.

PBS Reno board chair, executive, investor, local philanthropist Sara Lafrance, and PBS Reno President and CEO Curt Mische will talk about their enduring commitment to education and explain how PBS Reno's critical role in Nevada's Public Warning, Alert, and Response Network (WARN) system has continued without interruption, ensuring that our communities remain informed.

uest Speakers Karen Senger and Stephanie Sellers
Responding to Emergencies - Helping Neighbors in Times of Need
Join us as we kick off the 2026-27 Lunch & Learn series with a program topic that hits close to home.
Everyone knows about the Food Bank holiday canned food drives. Most of us don't know, however, about how the Food Bank of Northern Nevada jumped into action to assist people who were evacuated or lost homes in the recent Hawk fire. They don't know about the food insecurity that exists in elementary, middle school, and high school classrooms or the dozens of other local food pantries they support.
Chief Philanthropy Manager, Karen Senger also serves as co-chair of the Feeding America Network Fundraising Services Advisory Council and as Vice President of the Planned Giving Round Table of Northern Nevada.
Senior Development Director (and new TCC Member!) Stephanie Sellers recently joined the Food Bank of Northern Nevada after spending twenty years in higher education, most recently at TMCC Foundation.
